Fewsh Fewsh is a music program. The only thing that distinguishes it from its nearly countless contemporaries is the simple fact that it is not one of its nearly countless contemporaries. This is not to say that Fewsh is unprecedented in any way, shape, or form. It is actually intended to point out quite the reverse! Fewsh is much like a single hotel room in a vast hotel. Though room C23 might be identical to every other room in a given hotel, it is individual by virtue of the fact that it is no other room than C23. However, it should be stated that Fewsh aims to provide a slightly different aesthetic approach, thereby justifying its existence. What the above paragraph failed to communicate is that Fewsh's mission is to celebrate music in a very all-genres-welcome fashion. This is exemplified by the new segment Dark Alley Knife Fight wherein two songs so dissimilar as to be considered aesthetic enemies are heard tandem. Tune in and hear it for yourself Mondays from 6 to 8 pm here on G-Town Radio. Fewsh; it's 81% music, 19% oh my gosh! Reade McCardell is the host of Fewsh (or maybe Fewsh is the host of Reade McCardell, it's anyone's guess). He's a pale fellow with a sizable affection for music. He knows you like music too, and hopes you can find some satisfaction in the material he plays. To learn more about the host feel free and encouraged to visit Reade's myspace page and/or e-mail him at fewsh@gtownradio.com.

Were I forced at gunpoint to describe this particular episode using just six words I'd probably choose "taped motor drive amplifier organ chord". This is due to the fact that Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells Part One (in all its undulating glory) was played in the second half of tonight's show. It was a pleasure-filled evening. |

Exhaustingly good music! Including a couple of Chatham County Line tunes recorded live in a living room (Kurt and Jenn Asplundh's) only three hops, two skips and a jump from Germantown! |

Some aspects of this particular program were so pleasant they would cause even a suicidal Philippine tarsier to consider giving life another chance (of course this would necessitate the tarsier being familiar with English and fond of music). Fine muenster cheese was eaten by your host, two projects involving Simon Thornton were peered into, tracks from the new Red Hot Organization compilation were spun, fun was had! |

An all-vinyl edition of Fewsh recorded in music-curator Aram Yardumian's apartment! On hand were Mr. Yardumian, Mark Adams (a regular producer/contributor of/to Fewsh), and an army of records so massive as to defy comparison. Everything from Klaus Shulze to Three Dog Night (including Cotton Museum) was spun! |

A celebration of length! In this episode a number of longish recordings were given room to unfold the fullness of their glory, to stretch out their aching, lanky limbs temporarily free of abridgment! |

Tonight's program mildly focused on bands that share members or are related in some fashion (for example: Shearwater and Okkervil River, The Killers and Zoot Woman, Trans Am and Transchamps). It wasn't too thorough a theme though; for the most part the goal was to play a trainload of music. |
