Neu-Matic means new music.

Neu-Matic returns with new music and show previews.  New releases by Erykah Badu and Neon Neon lead the way.  Older releases by A Tribe Called Quest and Fiery Furnaces make it into the rotation too.

Tickets for the Roots Picnic went on sale last Friday.  The show could be one of the best of the Summer.  Sharon Jones, Gnarls Barkley, Deefhoof, Diplo, Santogold and the Cool Kids make the scene.  We'll listen to them all.

(3/9/08) Neu-Matic isn't only about playing new music you won't find anywhere else for weeks to come.  We are also constantly adding older music that hasn't made it into our library yet.  Since getting sick the past two weeks have been all about digging into CDs not recently played and getting them into rotation.  This week brings you R.E.M., the Velvet Underground, Bill Withers, Nick Lowe, Gary Wilson, previews of upcoming shows and even a little new music.

Neu-Matic appears every Sunday from 3-5 PM on G-town Radio.  Listen to G-town Radio all day Sunday for live shows from 1 PM until 9 PM.

There will be no Neu-Matic this Sunday (2/24/08) because we're going on a field trip.  This excursion takes us to the new Frida Kahlo exhibit at the Philadelphia Musuem of Art.  Neu-Matic returns next Sunday with all the best new music added to the G-town Radio playlists as well as previews of upcoming shows.  Speaking of shows we'll be at the St. Vincent show this Wednesday night (2/27/08) at the First Unitarian Church.  If you are free definitely check it out.

Neu-Matic's back and playing lots of new-ish music.  Fact is you can only do so many things in a week and unfortunately listening to new music wasn't happening the past 7 days.  This, however, is a good thing as we dig back through previous adds we still love to hear and play records we don't play nearly enough.  Get the full story after the jump.
