If It Ain't Broke

With so much incredible music at our fingertips from times past and present, why ever listen for too long without enjoying yourself? If It Ain't Broke, hosted every Monday morning by Kenzo, will not attempt to prove musical superiority over anyone, nor will it aim to impress the audience with obscurity for the sake of obscurity. If It Ain't Broke will start the week off right by imagining a morning in which Biggie can hand off to The Sea and Cake, who fade into Nina Simone, who gives way to The Mighty Diamonds and on and on. The music will bump, the commentary might trump, and Monday mornings can now suck a little less.

About Your Host Print E-mail
Kenzo is a music fan who keeps his snobbery in check by remembering his love of Billie Ocean, his impassioned sing-alongs to REO Speedwagon, and his favorite cassette single from 1990: Enigma:  Sadness Part I.  A little snob exists in us all, but I try hard to abide by the motto "if it sounds good, it is good".   I think Duke Ellington said that.  I might play him.  Listen and find out.
