featured poet LIVE in studio, DENICE FROHMAN:  published poet, lyricist, creative producer & educator who has been writing and performing for over 6 years / raised by a puerto rican mother & jewish father in new york city & proudly a part of the lgbt community, frohman is an emerging voice in the poetry & spoken word movements / chosen by scheme magazine as one of the "2009 voices of the year," she is most known for combining the worlds of hip hop & contemporary poetry / as a former puerto rican professional basketball player, frohman also straddles the worlds of sports & art / with a B.A. in creative writing, frohman currently works in public relations & teaches workshops at high schools, community centers & cultural institutions.
