Hey folks: Happy Holi-DAZE and All that Good Stuff! Thanks for the folks that stopped by The Catacombs on Thursday 11/29 including Kate Kilpatrick from Philadelphia Weekly newspaper. Hopefully more folks will slide on over when they see her story on G-Town Radio and the Famous Catacombs Old House radio show! Special No-Thanks to folks who didn't put my show in their publications even after they said they would! What are YOU made of? Looking forward to the New Year and New Opps to promote the show to those folks out there that KNOW they miss the old club sounds. Where were you in 82, 92, ....2002?? Looking for that Special Gift for that Special Someone? Calendars, books and of course House Music make Great Holiday Gifts..Check out this sample below: Angel Moraes
Like many New Yorkers, Moraes was introduced to dance music through Larry Levan and his legendary sets at the Paradise Garage. With Levan as musical mentor, Moraes began honing his skills as a DJ and generally putting himself out there in the N.Y. underground scene. After linking up with Victor Simonelli for a release on Eightball Records, Moraes was asked to show off his mixing skills at the notorious Sound Factory Bar, run by Jeffrey Rodman. It was with Rodman that Moraes would found the Hot n' Spycy label and the rest -- as they say -- is history.
