Saving nature in urban & wild lands, Joshua Jackson, Björn Embrén

todayMarch 9, 2026

Background

For us to survive and thrive we need healthy thriving nature in wild, rural, and urban lands. We examine how nature, in divergent areas, faces threats and ways to help save and restore it.

  • Joshua Jackson, founder of the Forgotten Lands Project, discusses his recent book, “The Enduring Wild: A Journey into California’s Public Lands”, and the beauty and importance of our BLM lands in the American West.
  • Björn Embrén former tree specialist for the City of Stockholm. His technique, the “Stockholm tree pit” method, has completely transformed how to sustain these essential urban trees, changing them from sickly trees to healthy.
