Demo Alert: 156 W. School House Lane Financial Hardship Committee Hearing

Background

DEMO Alert! PSD has filed a Financial Hardship application to demolish Boxwood (1898), a Haines family home designed by Mantle Fielding, architect, at 156 W. School House Lane, which was recently designated as historic. Three hearings are required at a minimum: 1. Architectural Committee (Tuesday, August 23 at 9:00AM), 2. Financial Hardship Committee (Thursday, August 25 at 1:00PM), and 3. The full Philadelphia Historical Commission Meeting (next month). The Public was given a roughy one week notice to prepare for this hearing, while many are away on vacation at the end of the summer.
