Background
Most cities in the US are grappling with our rapidly changing climate. Here are two examples other municipalities could emulate to reduce emissions, make buildings more resilient, and perhaps bring down costs for their citizens.

Nidhi Krishen, Deputy Director for Climate Solutions, Philadelphia Office of Sustainability; Director Krishen will talk about the city’s new Energy Poverty Alleviation Strategy. Because Philadelphia has a high poverty rate, a large number of people are burdened with energy costs. The city’s newly released plan aims for an equitable and just clean energy transition  which helps those most in need.
