Fertilizer helps grow the crops that feed the world, but it also washes into nearby waterways creating serious problems, fueling algae blooms, making low-oxygen dead zones, and emitting GHG. Dr. Jayachandran tells us about an interesting new experiment using floating mats of flowers to clean up this pollution.
