Flower power: Dr. Krish Jayachandran, Distinguished University Professor Florida International University. Fertilizer helps grow the crops that feed the world, but it also washes into nearby waterways creating serious problems, fueling algae blooms, making low-oxygen dead zones, and emitting GHG. Dr. Jayachandran tells us about an interesting new experiment using floating mats of flowers to clean up this pollution.
