G-Town Radio
today June 17, 2022
How do the generations inspire and support each other in working on environmental issues? How does faith, and in this case the Jewish faith, do the same.
Arthur Waskow, Lynne Iser, and Atara Saunders are respectively a Rabbi associated with the Renewal tradition and the Director of the Shalom Center, President of Elders Action Network building a movement of elders confronting the environmental/ governance/social justice issues of our time and faculty in the Yerusha Sage-ing Mentorship Program, and an undergraduate at Drexel University working on a B.A. in Global Studies & B.S. in economics and public health. They will discuss their motivations for environmental activism, its relationship to their faith and the interaction of the generations in these endeavors.
Voices of Children: yet an even younger generation of voices talking about the environment. These are children recorded on Earth Day 2022 at the Academy of Natural Sciences reflecting on Earth Day, the environment, and the Earth Day activities at the Academy. These voices were not aired in our earlier show right after Earth Day.
