A radio show in the tradition of next-generation sounds that were bypassed during this generation. A programmer who scours the airwaves, publications, and streaming services for music that could be heard on “commercial radio” albeit a stretch of sorts, but is not. What you will get is a mix of pop-rock, electronic, ambient, noise, indie pop, British rock, obscurities, hauntology, and anything else that fits the programmer’s mood.
The programmer, Bob Turri, is a Philadelphia rock musician veteran, playing in bands since the late seventies, early eighties, and beyond. Currently a solo act under the moniker of The Blown Fuses, which combines minimal guitar, electronics, and percussion in an altered pop song format. Primarily a drummer, it’s the beat that makes the songs go.Having a wide range of musical tastes, including church organ & choral music, classical, jazz, prog, experimental, electronic, and catchy pop songs, you can expect to hear any and all of this on “Unheard Sounds”.
Tune in on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month from 8-10 pm.
